Two addresses, and which one you want

Two addresses, and which one you use matters more than it looks.

General enquiries, corrections, press, permissions, and anything about the site itself. A correction should name the report and quote the line you think is wrong; if you can, say what you found instead and when. Corrections that come with a date and a location get applied fastest.

Route-specific questions and condition reports: a gate that is locked, a bridge that has gone out, a creek crossing that has opened early, a parking area that has been closed for the season. Please include the trail name and the date you were there. We read every one of these and add a dated note to the report when the change is material.
What we cannot help with
- Permits, reservations and campsite bookings — those go to the park authority that issues them (Sépaq, Ontario Parks, the New York State DEC, or the NCC for Gatineau Park).
- Real-time conditions. We are not a dispatch service. If you are already out and in trouble, call the local emergency number, not us.
- Gear recommendations for a specific purchase. The reports say what we carry; they are not a shop.
Response time
Corrections and condition reports are usually answered within three working days. General enquiries may take longer. Between December and March the volume is roughly triple the summer volume and the queue is longer; a report that a route is impassable is always read first.
